Epoxy Curing Ovens

Corning Epoxy Curing Oven

Description

Corning Cable Systems’ Benchtop Connector Oven is ideal for cable assembly houses. Its outer housing is made of tough 13-gauge aluminum with a baked-on black powder-coat finish, while the connector curing station is made from a non-stick material for easy cleanup. It is designed to accommodate up to 18 connectors in individual curing stations. Curing temperature is easily programmed through push-button data entry, and a display provides continuous feedback of set point temperature.

Applications

  • High-volume patch cord assembly

  • High-volume assembly of heat-cure connector terminations

Features / Benefits

  • Rugged 13-gauge aluminum construction

  • Tough, baked-on black powder-coat finish

  • Accommodates up to 18 epoxy and polish connectors

  • Accepts SC, ST® compatible, FC, LC, MT-RJ and MTP® connectors

  • Cures connectors with up to 150˚C temperatures

Multi-Cure Epoxy Curing Oven

The  Multi-Cure™ II Oven is smaller, heats up faster and is cooler running than previous models, and yet, by using the same connector blocks, permits up to 24 fiber optic cables and connectors to be uniformly terminated with controlled epoxy curing. With a Multi-Cure™ II Oven on-line, you can reduce connector loss, fiber cracking, and fiber stress all of which result in improved termination quality and increased productivity. The Multi-Cure™ II Oven’s adjustable thermostat controls the curing temperature over a range of 65°C to 125°C permitting the epoxy to cure at a lower temperature for longer periods of time. This is especially important when curing epoxy for multimode fibers to prevent cracking.

Features / Benefits

  • Reduces connector loss

  • Reduces fiber cracking

  • Reduces fiber stress

  • Improves termination quality

  • Small, compact size permits ease of use and storage

  • Available with curing blocks for FDDI, ST, FC, D4, Biconic, and SMA

  • Provides a cost effective means to terminate fiber optic cable assemblies

  • Detachable power cord for easy storage

  • Power receptacle, switch, and fuse module is UL, CSA, and TUV approved
